I’ll tell you something. If you don’t have this game then you are really missing out. Seriously this has to be the best game I have ever played. I mean this game was awarded with the ‘best-selling video game of 2007 in the United States of America’ with a massive 8.1 million copies sold. Now when you think about it the game came out in September so it has only had 3 months to sell. The fact that it has beaten over games that could have had 12 months to sell is unbelievable.

I think a unique angle to this game is unlike any of the previous games in the Halo Series this game is exclusive to the Xbox 360, as all the other games (Halo, Halo 2) have been on the Xbox and on the PC). It is definitely worth saving up to buy a Xbox 360 with Halo 3, you really don’t have a clue on what your missing out on if you haven’t played it before.

So anyway, for all of you who have never played this game before it is a first person shooter (although you can get into third person in certain occasions, like when holding a machine gun and when you are on a vehicle). Halo 3 has about 5 different modes (which I’ll go into more detail in a in-depth review) Single Player, Co-op, Co-op online, multiplayer and multiplayer online. All 5 modes will keep you entertained for hours.

In single player mode you will go through campaign mode playing as ‘Master Chief’ in the war between humans and alien races (Covenant) in the 26th century. In co-op and multiplayer you can team up with someone on your Xbox (up to 4 players) and play through missions etc. In online co-op and online multiplayer you can vs other players online. In my opinion this is the best part of the game and the different things you can play are so huge that you could end up playing for a day straight (I would not recommend this though) and still you would be finding new things.

For example maps. There are new maps all the time and most of them are good. However some are not so good, but bungie (Halo 3 Developers) have thought of that already and so you have the chance to ‘veto’ a map at the beginning. If more than half of the players playing also veto the map then another map will be played instead.

I think that a lot of people play games like this because there good at them, and if your good at a game you want to get noticed. Well you can on Halo 3. If you go to www.bungie.net you can search up people’s profiles which means people can see you. You can see all of the games you have played, all the medals you have got, how times you have killed people and with which weapon and how many times you have died from which weapons. The fact that bungie can get all of this information is great.

This game starts off just after the events of Halo: Uprising (Comic Book Series) which picks up after Halo 2 in the year 2553. . I won’t say much more on the plot because I don’t want to ruin the game for anyone who hasn’t finished it yet, after all knowing the ending of a game does spoil playing it. I will tell you however that again the Elites are back and the rest you can find out!

Halo 3 has won loads of awards which is deserves. It has won awards such as ‘Best multiplayer Game’ and ‘Most Addictive Video Game Fueled by Dew’. Also both TIME Magazine and the Guinness World Records: Gaming Edition book have labelled the game as ‘Game of the Year’. The game took in a massive $170 million in the first 24 hours and a even bigger $300 million in the first week.

I think that this game is truly magnificent and the graphics are stupendous. I mean obviously the game has a few bad points such as stupid enemies but every game has a weakness.

That’s why I would give this game a score of 9.8/10!

Nice review man. I’ve played 1 and 2 but never got around to 3 but I plan on it soon.
