Wii Sports Instruction Manual - Golf

Thursday, March 27th, 2008 by Nick Maunders

I’m going to be re-writing the ‘Wii Sports’ instruction manual in a more user friendly way. This can be also useful for any one who has bought the game second hand and does not have the instruction manual.

This is the Golf version and here is my manual:

Introduction

Golf is up to four players just like Bowling and you can have four people with one wii remote.

Remember swing the remote gently, you don’t need to swing it as hard as you would a tennis racket. Also remember to have the wrist strap on at all times. You don’t want the television broken do you!

Practising

Before you actually take the shot it is always handy to practise. To swing just hold the wii remote in both hands and put your hands behind your head on the right side (right-handed) and then bring the wii remote down and up to in front of you in a sweeping motion which looks like a arch.

Swing

Ok enough practising to take your swing hold down A while swinging to take the shot for real. Try to get the right amount of power by the gauge on the left of the screen. The map in the lower right hand corner tells you how much power you need to get to the hole. Make sure you adjust your shot for wind speed etc.

Putting

To putt the ball (you will need to do this when you are on the green near the hole) just hold the wii remote in both hands to your right facing right with your whole body (right-handed) and then bring the wii remote up towards the television screen. Make sure you press the A button to take the proper shot. You can also press the 1 button to get the camera to tell you if there are any hills etc on the green, and by pressing the 2 button you can get the camera down on the ground to give you a good view of the terrain.

Clubs

To change the different golf clubs to use just press the up and down controls on the control pad. To move the direction you are swing just press the left and right controls on the control pad.

I hope that this instruction manual has helped you and if there is anything I’ve missed all something you don’t understand simply add a comment or go into the contact section and email me.
