Wii Sports Instruction Manual - Baseball

Thursday, March 27th, 2008 by Nick Maunders

I’m going to be re-writing the ‘Wii Sports’ instruction manual in a more user friendly way. This can be also useful for any one who has bought the game second hand and does not have the instruction manual.

This is the Baseball version and here is my manual:

Introduction

Well unlike tennis you can only have up to two players on this game so you only need two wii remotes. However you still have to have one wii remote per person.

Remember swing the remote gently, you don’t need to swing it as hard as you would a tennis racket. Also remember to have the wrist strap on at all times. You don’t want the television broken do you!

Batting

So there are two parts to the game: Batting and Bowling. First batting. I think that I do not need to go into to much detail for this one unless of course you don’t know what a bat is or if you don’t know how to hit a ball with a bat. Basically hold the wii remote with both hands by your right hip (if your right-handed) and then swing round anti-clockwise pretending there is a ball coming towards you.

Pitching

To throw the ball to the batter literally hold the remote above you and then throw it! Do not let go! You can also though do certain types of throwing. If you hold down nothing then you will throw a fastball. Obviously by the name is goes straight and fast and is reasonably easy to hit. If you hold down the A button you will throw a Screwball. This ball is harder to hit and curves around to the right. If you hold down B then you will throw a Curveball. Just like the Screwball it is reasonably hard to hit and this time it curves around to the left. The last ball you can throw is a Splitter by holding down A and B. This ball is mega hard to hit and looks like a normal fastball. Until it drops down suddenly.

Speed

Speed is important when pitching so the faster you throw the ball the more harder it will be to hit. To throw the ball faster you have to just throw the wii remote faster. Remember not to let go of the wii remote!

I hope that this instruction manual has helped you and if there is anything I’ve missed all something you don’t understand simply add a comment or go into the contact section and email me.
