Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga – Episode 1: Chapter 1
Wednesday, March 12th, 2008 by Nick Maunders
Character’s that are needed in this chapter:
Force User
Super Jumper
Protocol Droid
Astromech Droid
Small/Chute Character
Okay so we start in a room with a table and chairs around it.
Canister 1
Go to the bottom left corner of the room, there you will find your blue canister.
Canister 2
Go through into the hallway and take the first right. When you get into the next room use the force on the bricks to make the ‘lift’ work. Jump on and the canister is within jumping distance.
Canister 3
Come back out of the room and turn right continuing down the hallway. When you come to a dead end turn left. Use C-3P0 (or TC-14) to open up the door. Then go to the left of the room and use a person who can fit into a chute (such as a Jawa) and the canister is behind the blue force field.
Canister 4
Come back out of the room and continue down the hallway. Use an astromech droid (R2-D2) to open up the door. The canister is on the left in one of the shower compartments.
Canister 5
In the same room as the last canister spot the vent in the top left corner. Use the force to bring it down and then use a higher jumper to jump into it. You will then end up in another room. Use an astromech droid to hover over the gap to the right to find the canister.

Canister 6
Exiting back to the hallway follow it down until you come into a room with bricks blocking the exit. Use the force on the bricks to make them into an object which you then stand on and double jump to get the canister.
Canister 7
Go into the next room and you’ll find yourself on a ledge. Jump across to the balcony on the left and then again to the door on the left. Use an astromech droid to open the door and go into the next room. You see three buttons on the floor. Step on the right one and wait for your partner to step on the middle one which will in turn lift the block your standing on up. Then from there jump into the ‘enclosed area’ to get the canister.
Canister 8
Exiting from that room go to the bottom left hand corner of the room you are currently in. You should have dropped down and have a force field in front of you.
Canister 9
If you stay in the ‘sort of gap’ that your in and keeping going right. You should find the canister in the bottom right hand corner of the room.
Canister 10
Keep walking forward until you get to a big orange transport machine (Droid Transport) and walk behind it. There you will find the last canister.
Hopefully this has helped you collect all 10 canisters. Don’t be afraid to do it over again because the quicker you do it the more money studs you collect.

Hey Nick,
I have completed this chapter of the game except for the blue canister. I’ve followed your guide and there ain’t no blue canister in that first room. Is it at all possible it could be somewhere else?

Hi Jay,
Unfortunately all I can say is that the first blue canister is definitely in the first room in the back left hand corner, are you sure that you actually you have that one and your are missing another one?

for canister 4, it you say use the astromech droid (R2-D2). where do i find R2? or was i supposed to bring him with me? if so, where do i acquire him at Mos Eisely?

Hi Beeker,
Yes you are suppose to bring him with you from Mos Eisley, but the game should have selected him for you automatically. When you do a free play level on the game you should see the characters that are also picked (these you can switch between during the game), although it doesn’t have to be R2-D2 it just has to be some type of astromech droid. If the game didn’t select one then you select it for your character.
Hope this helps!

Nick,
thanks. not sure about the free play level though. the only characters i can start the game with is qui-gonn and obi-wan. unless i’m missing something. i even tried the EVILR5 ulock code at the bar, it identified R2D2, but didn’t give it to me. obviously i’m not doing something right when i start the game, i just find it odd that the game would let me enter a level that i need the R2 unit to complete, without an R2 unit, and no way to get back out of the level to save.

Can’t get into free play mode. when i enter negotiations door, i only have “story” as an option.
i even tried earning enough money to buy R2-D5 at Mos Eisley, and entered the Negotiations door with R2 and Obi Wan. But the story line starts with OObi Wan and Qui-Gonn. I have no idea how to get an R2 in that chapter to open that last door.

Hi Beeker,
Can you get into free play mode for any other levels. If you have completed the episode in story mode that may be the reason.

Hey, is there 1 blue canister per level? because I cant find the blue canister in the corner of the first chatper :S
June 8th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
Hi Tom,
No there are actually 10 blue canisters per level! However there is only one red brick per level.
June 19th, 2009 at 6:23 pm
Hey Nick,
When you first enter the door and it shows you what you’ve completed it shows the 1 red brick, 10 white canisters, 1 blue canister,a check mark above the coin bar (Jedi rating) so on and so forth. The one blue canister is what Tom was asking about, your walkthrough is excellent for finding the white canisters though- keep up the good work!

Thanks!

OK, I can clear all of this up! I too was very confused by the white canister/blue canister thing. Here is the deal. You have to go through the level in “Challenge” Mode. When you do that, all you are going for are the canisters, but you are only given 10 minutes to get them all. This is NOT done in Free Play. It took me a while to figure that out too. Sometimes the blue canisters are in the same place as the white ones in story mode, but sometimes they are moved to a different location. I think this should clear up the confusion.
