Super Paper Mario – Welderberg

This is not a character review on Welderberg but is more like an in-depth review on Super Paper Mario.
When you’ve been playing Super Paper Mario have you get fed up from having to use lifts to get to everywhere? Are you fed up with going through the mirror hall each time you want to get to flopside? When finally I have found the answer, Welderberg. Wait, who the hell is Welderberg? Well he is a digger, believe it or not, and for a reasonable fee he can dig three pipes for you to lead to different places around the two towns.
Now do not pay the fee is you love walking around and spending wasted time getting from one place to another. However for anyone else, which is mostly everyone the fee is well worth it. It is not huge and it can make life for you a lot easier by far! Now out of the three pipes I bet the first one you would choose is the one from Flopside to Flipside and vice versa, I know I would. Well unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. You have to get him to build the three pipes one after another, and you’ve guessed it the one leading between the two worlds is last! Typical!

The first place Welderberg is hiding is just opposite the pit of 100 trials in Flipside. The directions to get there are on the Flipside pit of 100 trials review by clicking here. Then when you get there simply flip into 3D and walk left. You will them meet Welderberg (his picture is above). He says that he will make a pipe for you from the point where you are now to the 2nd floor of Flipside (which is where Merlon’s house is) for 100 coins. The convenience is worth more than the money so if you have money to spare, I would recommend above 700 coins at least, then pay it.
The second place you will find Welderberg is opposite the pit of 100 trials in Flopside, what a surprise. Again to get the directions look at my Flopside pit of 100 trials review by clicking here. Then from there flip into 3D but this time walk right. He will ask the same thing again and the pipe will take you to the second floor of Flopside (where Nolrem’s house is) for 100 coins. Pay it again, if you want to, the choice is yours.
If you do decide to pay it then the handiest pipe of the game (Flipside – Flopside) is next. Meet Welderberg on the 2nd Floor of Flopside (Nolrem’s house) and keep walking to the left until you pass Merlee’s house of charms. Flip again into 3D and talk to Welderberg. Now the shocking part. How much do you think it will be, 100? 150? 200? I was expecting 250 max, however it turned out I was wrong and the price he actually asks for is 300 coins! But being the handiest thing in the game I would urge you to buy it if you had 500 or more coins, or possibly even less than that.
With these pipes in play you can now get around Flipside and Flopside a lot easier. I hope this review has helped.
