Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga

Release Date:
For all you star wars fans out there, like myself, this game is a must buy. Even if you don’t play star wars games you would still find this game very fun amusing. The first star wars game on the wii and also the first virtual lightsaber. This game really gives you the feel of things and you can actually control the moves of the lightsaber with your wii remote.
So for any of you who have played the previous two lego star wars games (Lego Star Wars: The video game & Lego Star Wars: The original trilogy) will have worked out that this 3rd instalment is quite similar to both of the previous games added together. However if you have played the last 2 games and think now that “well, if it’s the same then I won’t buy it” don’t. Because this game is a whole lot better and has thousands of extras.
For example this new game has new levels (yep, entirely new levels) and new characters such as Watto, Aayla Secura etc. I think that’s the main reason to play because it’s a lot of fun trying to experiment with different characters from the Star Wars Series and seeing which one you enjoy being the most. As well as that there are new power ups and force powers. There are all new blue canisters which are in a new game called challenge mode. In this mode you have a certain number of minutes to collect 10 blue canisters which will be hidden around the area in which you are.

I think though that the main thing about this game is that it is on the Wii! I mean on the PS2 you are lazing around only exercising your fingers by using the dualshock controller where the only experience you can get is by pressing buttons and feeling the controller shaking. While on the wii your up and about swing your wii remote to make the lightsaber swing in the same direction. Basically it’s a lot more fun and a lot more energetic, and don’t moan saying ‘I hate exercise’ you won’t even though you are doing it. You will be too hooked into the game (because the game is great) and won’t notice a thing.
There are also bounty hunter missions just like on Lego Star Wars: The original trilogy. But an extra on this one is the fact that at the end of each episode there is one main unlock able extra. This includes the familiar
However there are a couple of bad points I would like to point out about this game. Only slight what so ever I should still let you know about them. Sometimes the game might do something different than what you want it to do. For example if you press ‘Z’ to do some lego building it might not walk until you press it again. However this has only happened to me once. Another thing which is nothing to do with the game but is to more to do with the outline of it is that if you hate being patient and like to rush through things quickly or get annoyed very quickly then do not buy this game. Trust me if you do then you will chuck your wii remote on the floor and break it. Why? Well this game does have quite a few challenging missions where it is very easy to die and lose. Also on each mission you have to collect lego studs (which are basically the games version of money) and if you don’t collect above the standard level then if you want to get 100% you will have to go back and do it again. Some missions on the game are very difficult to collect all of these studs so it can be very frustrating.
Did you know that if you go into the extras zone and view the Lego Indiana Jones trailer something great will happen? You can then purchase
However the good points of this game overly balance the bad points of it so this game as far as I’m concerned is great and I think that the wii console has really opened up a lot of opportunities to developers and programmers to come up with unique styles of gaming like this game has. You don’t see any other game at the moment using the wii remote as a lightsaber!
I would give this game a rating of 9.1!

Hi shawni,
As far as I am aware Jabba the Hutt is not available in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga on any platform.
However if you are talking about the bounty hunter missions then you need to go through the door which you find in the cantina.
Hope this helps,

Hiya,
I am currently at 97.5% complete. I have one more level to do and collect all 10 blue canisters. I have done all other jabba missions, extra levels, million stud levels, freeplay, blue canisters basically all I can think of!!! I don’t think it will take me to 100%. Is there anything I have missed?
Thanks
Stacey

Hi Stacey,
Although unlikely it is possible that it may take you to 100% completion, however if it doesn’t here are all the things you need to do to get 100%:
Collect all white and blue canisters
Collect all red bricks
Complete bounty hunter missions
Complete extra levels (6 in total, one for each episode)
Complete all million stud levels (12 in total, excluding lego city)
Unlock and buy all characters and vehicles.
When you get to 100% you get a secret prize!
Hope this helps.
