If you love controlling things this is the number 1 game for you. This game has got every type of object you would find in the house from some balloons to a fireplace and every job you can imagine from a pickpocket to a dishwasher. However even if you don’t like controlling people but think of yourself as an architect then this is also the game for you. You can build your house up to four stories high (and that’s just the original sims 2) you can even get expansion packs that let you build basements! Then when you have finished designing and building the house you have to add all of the objects inside such as beds, toilets etc.
Here comes the good part: if you don’t like controlling sims then go into options and make sure free-will is ON. Then they will do everything automatically. I mean not everything; obviously you have to get them a job etc. You can make there lives perfect with the aspiration meter by fulfilling all there needs, or if your really cruel you can make there lives a living hell.
Now for anyone who has the Sims 2 and is thinking right about now, “hay that would be fun” then I have the cheat for you. When in the Sims 2 press ctrl+shift+C then type in, in exactly these words (it does matter whether they are capital or lowercase and make sure you include the spaces) boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true from this cheat you can then hold down shift and click on the sim. Then select the option ‘tombstone of L and D’ then when you click on the tombstone that has appeared you can select how to kill your sim, and I mean kill. You can have death from flies, fire, electrocution, satellite, drowning etc. But I must warn you this is the cheat the programmers and developers used while programming the game. Use it at your own risk there is a chance it could bugger your game up.
Anyway for all people who do not have a sadistic mind and would like to make their sims prosper a cheat that might be of interest to you is motherlode which gets you an extra 50,000 simoleans. As a conclusion to this game I think there is a reason why most people call it the #1 PC game of all time and that is because it is amazing.
